As indicated on the USCIS website,
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that it has received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to reach the statutory cap for fiscal year (FY) 2014. USCIS has also received more than 20,000 H-1B petitions filed on behalf of persons exempt from the cap under the advanced degree exemption.

According to the USCIS, as of June 1, 2012 55,600 of the 65,000 Regular Cap H-1B Visa petitions have been used. After the USCIS has accepted 65,000 H-1B Visas, they will not accept anymore Regular Cap cases until April 1, 2013 which would have October 1, 2013 begin dates. We anticipate all of the 2013 Regular Cap H-1B visa petitions will be used up within the next 1-2 weeks.
