Tom Thorelli has recently accepted an invitation to be a speaker at US expansion oriented events hosted by the Occitanie Chamber of Commerce and Industry ("CCI") in Blagnac, France (near Toulouse) and Pérols, France (near Montpellier). These events will address the essentials for creating a successful commercial establishment in the United States, including the legal, accounting and investment aspects. In addition to the presentations, participants will have an opportunity to schedule individual meetings to discuss plans for US expansion and the legal aspects related thereto with Tom, as well as meet with tax and accounting professionals. Tom Thorelli has been invited by the CCI du Loiret to hold afternoon one-on-one meetings at their premises on Friday, February 7. Tom will be meeting with French companies concerning their US related legal needs and answering any preliminary questions regarding the legal aspects of doing business in the US. In addition, there will be an accounting professional of International Management Solutions, Inc., with whom we have collaborated for over 25 years, who can address any US tax and accounting related issues.

February 20, 2020 Swedish American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago "Legal Challenges in Growing Your Business" Panel Event

Tom Thorelli will be speaking at a SACC panel event on Thursday, February 20, 2020. The event will take place at the SACC - Chicago Conference Room located at 121 W. Wacker Drive, 24th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601 from 6pm to 8:30pm. 

"Legal issues abound when a business is growing and how they are resolved may have long and short-term effects on that business. How do you identify these issues and resolve them? Are there one-size-fits all solutions? Which issues are the most important ones to identify and address?  Labor and employment? Trademark protection? Product liability? Distribution agreements? Our panel will draw on their experience in representing foreign businesses entering the U.S. market when sharing their perspectives in how companies should analyze and work with lawyers and other professionals to avoid problems to begin with, and how to handle them if they arise."
